If you register online, by mail or in person before July 8, you must pick up your packet at Run For Your Life, Dilworth (2422 Park Road) beginning Tuesday, July 10 or at race day registration. Beginning Tuesday, July 8, you may register and pick up your race packet, t-shirt and goody bag at the following Run For Your Life locations:

Awards will be presented at awards ceremony and will not be mailed. Awards will be kept for 2 weeks at the Dilworth Run For Your Life location. . Animal Care & Control is part of the Special Services Division of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. In addition to providing the regulatory control services that contribute to enforcement and public safety, Animal Care and Control has many programs that focus on education, prevention, pet management, and animal health concerns. Animal Care & Control is dedicated to helping the citizens and pets of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County by providing free clinics for rabies shots, spay & neuter surgeries and low cost microchips. Animal Care & Control is also here to help educate the public about how to best care for animals. We start with the youth by offering our Humane Education programs in the area schools, civic groups and churches.
Some of the programs offered by Animal Care & Control include: Educational Programs (Presented by Officer Julia Gilmore/Humane Education Officer) Humane Education Bite Prevention Pet Therapy Adoption Programs We have over 30 offsite adoption events a year and provide all adopters with a pet training DVD. Public Clinics Programs Free Rabies shots Free Spay/Neuter surgeries Low-cost Microchips Funds supported by private donations and grants 2nd Chance Medical Fund - This fund allows us to treat sick or injured animals that would otherwise have to be put to sleep. Spay/Neuter Fund - Our Free Spay/Neuter clinics are funded solely by private donations and grants.Volunteers Don't want to run? VOLUNTEER! We need volunteers to make this event a success.
