Run For Your Cause
The Run For Your Life Run For Your Cause 4 Miler adds a new spin to the Run For Your Life 4 Miler of years past. The purpose of the Run For Your Cause aspect is to partner with local non-profit organizations and use the event as a means to raise awareness of their cause as well as to raise funds to support them. In 2009, the inaugural Run For Your Cause selected two beneficiaries and this year, we have selected three beneficiaries to work with. With your support, this event could grow to five, seven or more non-profits in future years.
2010 Beneficiaries are:
Alzheimer’s Association
“The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization dedicated to helping those affected by Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders. We are the premier source of information and support for 5.3 million Americans with Alzheimer's disease. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research while enhancing care and support services for individuals and their families. For more information please call our 24-hour helpline at 1.800.272.3900 or visit our website www.alz.org/northcarolina"

Our family-style maternity home is located just a few blocks away from the Dilworth Run For Your Life location. We exist to offer hope to women seeking a more stable future for themselves and their family by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support. We help prepare women by helping with personal goal setting, career/educational planning, job readiness, financial planning and household management skills. Please visit LoisLodge.org and fan us on Facebook for exciting updates!”
